it is hard to believe a year has passed 2008-06-08 4 8:32 p.m. ah welcome back summer - and welcome back to my whiny uber-bitchy side - ah how we've all missed her... but not really. i swear - i am a cranky brat when the humidity rolls back around. and living on the second floor in a place with few windows and a giant skylight that nicely bakes everything in the noonday sun, does wonders for the upbeat persona. but the summer arrival also means that it's just about the end of my year of mock-life. i technically graduated about 3 weeks ago. i have yet to possess the shiny m.s.-filled paper in my hand but i hear it's on the way. my internship is about 2 weeks from ending. the students have 7 days left, and then add on a few for us staff (or pseudo-staff) to finish up things. there are moments where i'm completely ready to be done with that place, yet there are days i can't quite picture my life without it. that school has been my breaking-out, my learning ground, and ultimately my comfort zone - a place where i felt supremely comfortable. and now i'm forced to leave it. and find a new one which will be all that. i have sent out a grand total of 18 resumes and applications now. i have not heard back about a single one. i have had brief moments of panic, picturing a future of job-less money-less terror, but i have yet to succumb to it. not quite yet. previous - next
